There were a few questions that were asked after our first interview, so hopefully this brief video will answer those. Thanks to all of you for reading our blog.

Oh you are both naturals on the camera. I wish I was comfy with videos. Looks like you are doing well and as always, we believe in the same budgeting style.

Watched your interview with Jerry and asked him a question about your budget but he sent me to your blog to ask. I wasn't sure if you said your budget was fifteen hundred or if you meant, in general, that was a good budget for Ajijic? If it was yours, and hopefully without prying, if you only pay three fifty for rent can you give us any idea on what the rest was? I am hoping to move to Ajijic in the near future. Thank you.

Hello Gary, thanks for watching our video and getting in touch with us. I will do my best to answer your questions. The $1500 budget is an average. Sometimes we are under, sometimes over. Remember this is for 2 people. This includes everything. We have entertainment (travel, zumba, softball, movies, happy hour), transportation (buses, taxis), cell phone, groceries, eating out (which we do a lot), medical (this has been higher because we are getting a lot of annual check ups done.) Travel eats up a good bit of our budget as well. If you want to just stay in Ajijic, your amount would drop closer to $1000 per month. We will do a blog post in the next couple of weeks on our trip to Manzanillo. We also have trips to San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato planned for Feb. So with our current style of living, $1500 fits right in our ballpark. I hope this helped. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for your speedy reply. Jerry said he was going to try to answer some of my questions in an upcoming video, which is great, but if you have time to answer any of these with your busy social and travel schedule that would be much appreciated. Leave a Reply. |
